Doctor Helps Revive Corpse; Something New for Haunt Fans 

The Newburgh Civitan is teaming up with Henderson Haunts for the 2026 Spooky Season. A partnership that will make haunted house fans scream for joy. The Newburgh Civitan Zombie Farm will be opening for its 53rd season on Friday, September 25, 2026. However, long-time Zombie Farm fans will experience a completely new haunted attraction. 

     “We’ve been past due for a total reset for a while” , said spokesperson Jim Miller. “The Civitan Club, like many other nonprofits, has gone through some growing pains over the past few years and our fundraising event has become its own monster. So, we called in the best monster wranglers we knew.” 

‍ ‍Henderson Haunts, LLC was officially started in 2023 and has very quickly become known for creating innovative and immersive haunted attractions on a tight budget. Their haunted house, The Reckoning, was started in a garage and moved to the Audubon Village Shopping Center in Henderson, KY. They were featured on Season 7 of TLC’s 1000-lb Sisters and received a 9.1/10 ranking from Scare Factor in 2025; the top score of any haunted house in the Tri-State. 

‍ ‍The Newburgh Civitan Zombie Farm is the longest running charity haunted house in the region. “It had a few names through the years but they landed on Zombie Farm in the early two-thousands” said Jim Miller. “Many people don’t realize the Zombie Farm is Civitan’s annual fundraiser. Our club gives most of the proceeds away to other nonprofit organizations. The main focus of Civitan is building a better community through service and leadership. We especially look for ways to serve those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.” 

The Newburgh Civitan Club heard that Henderson Haunts was going to have to relocate back in January and reached out with an invitation, “Help us improve our haunted house fundraiser so we can better serve our community!” The active club members unanimously voted to partner with Henderson Haunts for the 2026 season. 

This year's theme for the Newburgh Civitan Zombie Farm is Zombie Farm Reborn. What can people expect this year? A completely new haunted house with a more immersive experience, new scares, some storytelling and other surprises. Opening weekend begins September 25, 2026 at5466 Vann Rd, Newburgh IN 47630.
